Araflor Beauty offers professional hair styling and make-up services for all occasions, such as weddings, graduations, proms, glamour photo shoots and any other special events you are planning to have. It is such an exciting feeling to know that we can help you feel and look your very best for such a special day in your life.
Throughout the years we have expanded our beauty knowledge with the aid of wonderful courses, books and the study of other professional makeup artist's techniques. I strongly believe that one will never stop learning new and innovative techniques; therefore, We are always striving to continually refine our techniques in order to stay up to date with today's fashion and beauty's latest trends to achieve and provide the best services possible.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What should I bring or prepare before I come to the trial?
Before your trial date with us, please send us a picture of you via email, also of picture of your dress front & back, and some ideas of hair & makeup that you consider wearing for your special day. You can Google images and send the links to me as well. Keep in mind that what looks good on others may not look the same on you. This is why I highly recommend a trial session first! On the trial date, come with dry clean hair, and no makeup. Also bring with you a white tank top or any neutral colored off-shoulder item to kind of give the illusion of a wedding dress. Also bring you accessories, such as earrings, veil and tiara or any other hair piece you are planning to use on your special day!
2. I loved my trial look and now I want to book for my event. How does this work?
To avoid having your date taken, you can contact us via email and let us know you want to have your date reserved. Well keep pictures and ideas of the desired look in our files and assist you with any question you may have and will give you a contract form to view and sign. You can send the signed contract along with a $50 deposit to save your date by regular mail or in person. Dont wait too long in your search for a makeup & hair artist. If a contract is not executed, this does not guarantee that you have reserved your date.
3. Do you offer Bridal Beauty Packages?
Yes we do, only if its more than 5 people needing our services at the same time. Please email us for quotes! You will be charged a 50% non-refundable deposit for the entire party booked, which will go towards the event to reserve the date. Full balance needs to be paid in cash or check on day of the event!
4. How far do you travel to offer your services?
AraFlor Beauty will travel where ever the customer needs the services in the Bay Area.There is NO charge within 30 miles away from studio. If the location is further than 30 miles from studio there is a 0.52 additional charge per mile. Parking ,tolls and any other fees must be paid by customer (unless its included in the *Bridal Package ).If you need services outside the Bay Area, Araflor Beauty will make the necessary arrangements to assist you. You can email us for a quote.
5. What do you bring with you when you travel and how much time do you need to set up?
AraFlor practically brings the studio salon to you, allowing you to feel comfortable & relaxed on your wedding day or special event. We bring all the equipment necessary to setup. The Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist usually shows up 15-30 minutes before, in order to have everything setup for you. All we ask of you is to locate us at a place with natural light if possible (near a window), or proper lightin. We also need a medium to large table near electrical sockets.
6. What makeup brand do you use?
AraFlor Beauty proudly uses all brands of cosmetics such as MAC, Estee Lauder, Kryolan, Ben-Nye, NYX, Taylor Made Minerals, Sephora, Rimmel London, KISS NY color, HD Camera Ready Cosmetics, Cinema Secrets, LOreal, RCNA, Temptu, Makeup Forever, La Famme and many more keeping in mind all prodcust serve for different skin tones & types and preferences. The result of a beautiful makeup application is not only aimed through the actual cosmetic itself, it's aimed and reflected through the professional work we proudly do. We believe every brand has something unique to bring the beauty out in you!
7.Do you offer Airbrush make up application?
Yes Airbrush service is available, it's your choice if you wish to have a traditional makeup application or Air brushed?
8. What is the difference between Airbrush or traditional application, which one is better?
Traditional makeup is composed of a variety of formulas and including liquid, cream, or pressed powder that is usually applied with a sponge, brush or fingers. Traditional makeup comes in the widest variety of any other makeup, with every shade and formula available. Its also the most versatile of all the makeup; it can be as basic as a sheer tint of coverage, or combined with other properties to create a makeup that targets specific problems.Traditional makeup is the only makeup that when the appropriate formula is chosen, can be used in any situation at any given time. It can be applied many different ways, from sponge methods used with thicker foundations, to fingertips or brushes used for light and well blended applications to give any desired look such a matte finish, dewy, natural glow, sun-kissed all with airbrushed finish if done properly.
Airbrush makeup is a light-weight makeup that is applied through the use of compressed air using an airbrush applicator to produce a very thin, even layer of makeup that creates a very matte finish. Once its on, dry rubbing usually wont cause it to transfer, and unless it gets wet, it wont go anywhere until you wash it off. On the other hand, if it does become wet thru crying or sweating, you can run the risk of it streaking. Since most of the face or body paints used for airbrush makeup are water based, these paints can be washed off or sometimes wear off with perspiration. There are certain paints that are oil based instead of being water based. Oil based paints have to be given a final touch by using powder to set the makeup which can give more of a layered look. Airbrush makeup is not for everyone; though I recommend it for a bride with oily or combination skin because the makeup stays matte and looks fresher, longer, it can be too matte for a client with dry skin or wrinkles or even acne marks and also those clients who prefer a more dewy fresh natural look.
9. I have extremely sensitive skin and I am currently on medication for it, will that be a problem?
If you have sensitive skin and feel that your own cosmetics will be our safest bet for a healthy non irritating makeup application please bring your cosmetics along with you. If you are seeing currently seeing a doctor for any skin problem, ask your doctor what brand of makeup is best for your skin.. All though most of my cosmetics are highly safe for sensitive skin, we want to make sure we have the appropriate one for your current skin situation. I highly recommend a makeup trial session if this is the case. If you have had any medical facial peels, laser or microderbation then I suggest you wait 1-2 weeks before you get any make up services.
10. How long does it take for makeup and Hair services?
The bride is our focus, we need a full 2.5 30 to 3hrs to beautify bride (hair & makeup) at trial and on wedding day, making sure your look is radiant and perfect and that you are comfortable with your desired look! For the bridesmaids/guests, we need approximately about 45 minutes for each service makeup/hair. I have up 2 additional stylists in my team to help getting everyone done on time for the event. It all really depends on the makeup and Hair style the customer needs.
11. Do you work with hair extentions and is there an extra charge?
Only if it100% human extensions! There is NO additional charge for using them on you, but you must purchase them on your own beforehand!
12. I might need someone to stay to touch up my hair/ makeup, is that possible?
Absolutely! We charge $50 for the first hour, $40 for every hour after. Rates begin when you leave for the event. Total amount should be paid in full beforehand.

I was not convinced with the makeup I had gotten done there at all, when I noticed you and the makeup you had on, I told the MAC artist I wanted something similar to what you had. I had a little over a month before my BIG day and as most of us our biggest challenge: Makeup & Hair. I mostly worried because I have straight Asian hair and in the past I have had problems with people doing my hair. After 4 weeks of searching, I found Araflor Beautys website through craigslist. I loved the portfolio... and I contacted Tamara as soon as possible. She was so nice and sweet and very professional, she asked me details of my desired look and asked me to send pictures to her via email, so I did and she replied back promptly and mentioned that it was a beautiful and elegant choice for me. I booked her right away and did a trial that same week. I knew then she was going to be my makeup artist that same day!! Till this day I know she was the best decision I made for my wedding day!
